  October 12, 2014 - Maybe lacks complexity, lacks herbal notes or nuances, but boy is this a sleek, beautiful, hedonistic wine. Chocolate, coffee, cassis, high quality oak, perfect for scratching your Bordeaux itch. Well structured and properly balanced, tannins are there but smooth, none of the clumsy or raspy tannins you sometimes get in 2003. Will open up more with age and perhaps add more secondary notes, but it's very ready to drink now.
