    Excellent.

May 12, 2019 - This was ready to go right after opening, as the tannins are fully resolved and silky. The fruit is fairly forward for Bordeaux and it did not have much power or structure, but it is still well balanced and quite enjoyable to drink. This follows my experience with other 03's. Probably in its sweet spot right now.

May 10, 2019 - Drinking really well. Wonderfully integrated tannins and fruit. Silky.

April 28, 2019 - Superb. The aroma and flavor profiles are near perfect to my tastes. I love the blend of plum, oil cured olives, and cedar forest, the clarity of the flavors (no murky muddiness), and the fluidity of the mouthfeel. Everything is in tune for drinking now. While the finesse is great, the lack of power prevents this from being a 95-100 point wine for me.

    (lt Branaire-Ducru) Grab Bag

    Dear Friends,

I suppose this could have been a second Friday Special (it seems we've had two lately) or a "free for all" special but let's call it a grab bag of interesting wine, most at prices that are eye-opening indeed.

All are directly from the source with perfect provenance.

Have a good weekend everyone - new TN's out next week and an update on the website chat room (we're getting close).

This is an insane price - usually line-priced with the Chardonnay.

(Chateau Branaire-Ducru St Julien) Not very expressive, but with sweet, blackcurranty fruit on the nose. Attractive palate. Restrained, elegant, with appealing texture. The acidity is a little low, and there is quite a show of tannins. Again this should show some improvement in the cellar.
