October 24, 2014 - FW-BYOB-HT#2: ¤FW - Didn't taste blind, and I thought the Riesling aromas where quite obvious, but the others weren't that sure. But it is burnt rubber and matchsticks rather than the German petroleum. There is also lots of sweet lemon, grapes, and ripe apples. On top of this there is some botrytis and candle-wax. High, quite tart acidity, fruit is less pronounced but with a good intensity and a slightly bitter finish. Not for the fruit lowers, but for the ones hooked on acidity!

7/7/17, 4:58 PM - Herman Riesling has not the petrol. Alsace is that style ;-)
