  September 8, 2007 - Tasted at the Edward Roberts International wine auction in Chicago. Nice dark burgundy color. Floral nose which was surprising as I expected more "umph." Excellent, but a little disappointed considering the pedigree and vintage. Certainly a decent wine, but lacks the complexity I would anticipate from a Phelps. Mainly a plum flavor with a little hint of spice. May try decanting next time to see if it opens up.
