  May 15, 2015 - The wife requested "something not lite". Dooker it is. We all know what these wines are. I can still enjoy these full throttle wines on occasion. When looking at the wine from the top of your glass its kind of like looking into outer space or a black hole. The wine seems heavy just looking at it. On first pour I did get some meaty/savory notes along with pepper and lots of dark and blue fruit. The longer it was opened the more oak and vanilla showed up. The longer it was opened the less interesting it got for me. Like I said I can still drink these but totally understand those that don't care for the dooker. I like keeping a couple on hand as they are generally crowd pleasers.
