  September 10, 2015 - (Decanted for one hour.) About two years ago I found this wine too closed and at odds with itself. That has changed. Dark in color and perfumed with cherry, cassis, mint, tobacco and leather, it has grown into a real beauty. It is medium-bodied and fleshy in the mouth, with juicy flavors of cherry, blueberry, pan juices and bitter chocolate. The tannins are spicy smooth and the moderately long finish bears traces of tart cherry and nutmeg. This is just entering the pleasure zone and should remain (and improve) there for at least a dozen years. 92+ points.
