  September 16, 2015 - A solid bdx, if slightly below the expectations of this estate. Showing more expressive than my last bottle almost 2yrs ago. Black current, smoke, and cedar nose. Palate is rather plush as might be expected of '03, but no roasted notes or seemingly early maturity. Bulky tannins in the background. Moderate length finish would cedar notes comes through more prominently. Doesn't have the lift and nuance of more typical years-- but is solid. just not a great QPR at current prices.

  9/17/15, 7:48 PM - I liked it better a couple years ago. I think it may get better in a couple more, but it is certainly not shut down and can be enjoyed now with some air.
