Community Tasting Note

  • Slaz Likes this wine: 91 points

September 22, 2015 - A notable improvement since the last tasting in September 2014. The wine has gained more balance and shed extra sweetness. Upon opening, notes of graphite and minerality streaks on the palate. After an hour+ of decanting, tasted more balanced fruit on the palate. Not overly ripe on the palate, something I liked a lot. Moderate length. Overall, excellent value and quite universal in terms of possible food pairings. A nice "baby Beaucastel" that will continue to improve and drink well for several years, if not 5+.
