December 13, 2015 - Extremely closed for the moment...not giving ANY pleasure. A touch of smoke meat on the nose. Celery seeds on the palate...nothing sexy. Got killed by the 2012 Flaccianello and Tignanello...not even comparable at this stage. Will certainly be better in 7-10 years, so don't be in a hurry.

12/14/15, 8:00 AM - Do you only see a potential 87 score in this wine? A young wine is normally rated on its potential and not on its actual score. I've tasted it : a lot of potential but I can't tell if it will end up with a 90 or 95 score within 10-15 years. It was at a tasting : it's almost a crime opening this wine now ;)

12/14/15, 8:11 AM - Kris G: This my current score based on what I tasted this week-end. As I said it will most likely improve/change/open up in the next 10 years, but there wasn't much to talk about in this wine, so I don't see it become more than a low 90s wine. Tignanello and Flaccianello 2012, will become greater wines in my opinion...but only time will tell. If this was really amazing, I would have bought a few bottles, but I didn't. Just as an example, I had a Langoa-Barton 2009 this week-end as well and even though it was way too young, it was fabulous, it had a wow factor that I'm looking for at this price point...Cheers!
