February 10, 2016 - PNP and enjoyed over a couple hours.

    Eye: Purple but not opaque.
Nose: Immediately it is dominated by oak. After vigorous swirling and some short time the bouquet opens up with bright black fruits and some graphite. the oak clearly in the background at this point.
Palate: the fruit that was coaxed is center stage from front to mid palate. Full of juicy plums and blackberries. On the back end cedar and a sturdy grip but not overpowering with a medium to long finish.

Overall i thought this was good. It is actually accessible now with a 2-3hour decant. I think it can age another 5-7 years but i don't think there is long term potential here. Again i thought this was a nice wine but for the price point i think there are better opportunities, at least in this vintage. Enjoy!

    2/11/16, 5:55 AM - Hello,
I like your TN of this wine. You write there are better opportunities from this vintage. I would be thankful for some tips. Thank you.
