  April 15, 2016 - opened at my retirement dinner at Kevins. Hard to know what a 100 point wine would be but this comes as close as possible. Last '06 was 4 years ago and it was fantastic, a full meal deal. This bottle, after showing little funk and more fruit, opened up to middle earth and the aromas could be smelled across the room. The fullness of the earthy flavors made this '06 the ultimate full meal deal. An absolute phenomenal wine. Needs only about 30 minutes of air time and then the animals are out of the barn. I will always remember this night, it was my last '06.
