May 22, 2016 - 100% grenache, from warm terroir, picked late, with a significant percentage of stems retained, and litte extraction. This is a stunning expression of grenache. Better, I'd say, than a Janasse Chaupin 2010 I had the other day, and at a fraction of the price. Very sexy, perfumed red fruit flavours, with decent complexity. This is a great wine and a fantastic bargain too. 90-91

8/1/17, 12:32 AM - Your correct that des Tours is a bargain but that the rest of your comment is not so.
The Tours is not made of 100% Grenache, that is why you find the strawberry, fine fruit and everything else that makes des Tours. FYI: Grenache, Counoise (great touch!), Syrah, Cinsault, Merlot (yes, used here) and 5% other grapes make des Tours. The terroir also is not one of the warmest you can find here but one that has less problems with climate challenges. -
