  December 31, 2007 - Double decanted approx. 2.5 hours prior to consumption. Powerful, dark fruit on the nose. The palate is similar, with plenty of meaty, fruity notes, along with baking spice and black pepper. While the fruit is clearly young and powerful, there isn't a hint of the wine being out of balance. In fact, my favorite feature of the wine is the way it portrays its power without being overpowering in any way. The wine is still just a baby, but it's also very drinkable in its youth. The finish matches the nose and palate, as it is fruity, powerful and extremely long.
