July 8, 2016 - Exotic, hazelnut oak on the nose. Tons of mint that gradually picks up menthol and eucalyptus notes on nose and palate. Finishes characteristic of the 2002 vintage with cool steel meeting lime juice acidity. Back label says cellar through 2016; I would recommend waiting 3-4 years for a bit more integration. In a good vintage like '02, I've found Octavius drinks best 15-20 years past vintage. Drink 2019-2022
