  July 16, 2016 - Garagiste is the most well written, articulate, and quality newsletter-based purveyor of wine in the US. I'm convinced. However, and no offense, JR, there are some major misses. I don't know if it's a P/L issue (offload mediocre stuff by telling good stories - hey can't blame him, I've worked on Wall St. and that's all we do...). I'm somewhere around a 80% hit rate with them, and this bottle of Brunello reinforces my belief that he has an eye (and nose and palate) for some great juice. This wine was singing. Elegance, finesse, balance, sneaky power, complexity, this has it all. Short of a great Cerbaiona, Soldera or Poggio Di Sotto (the undisputed greats IMO), this was very well done. Thanks JR, keep ones like this coming.
