  August 9, 2016 - I have to agree with those reviewers who have called this wine both "smoky" and "over extracted". That combination makes this Chianti difficult to match with food, which usually brings out the best in the vast majority of Chiantis. This was actually better with chicken than with a tomato-based dish which is a rarity for a sangiovese.
