  October 20, 2016 - Perhaps my expectations were too high? This was not a flawed bottle; just a disappointing one. Opened this to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. Barnyard on the nose, medium-to-light body with slight bricking on the rim, surprisingly bright red fruit on the palette with light tannins and dent finish. However, with all the hype, it just was not a truly exceptional wine in my mind...which this wine should have been. We were so disappointed.
