  January 25, 2008 - Popped and poured (consumed over a period of an hour). This wine exhibited a garnet color. On the nose, aromas of black cherries, plums, and blackberries were joined by notes of tar, smoked meats, and hints of spice. On the palate, dark fruit flavors dominated with notes of bacon fat and smoke leading to a moderate finish. This wine is pretty much at it's peak... drinking quite well with a bit of air time. Very smooth and elegant. HS90
