November 15, 2016 - I have to tell say this is one of the best ones I've had in a long time it comes from the Piedmont area of Italy It is 100% Merlot, but unlike any Merlot that you may tried before. It has a very slight hint of raspberry and Plum and a little more obvious is ripe Cherry but what really stands out is a leathery smokey flavor soft tannins interesting wine to be sure

9/19/21, 3:41 PM - Thanks -- something weird happened here. I'm guessing something was cleaned up or wines were merged, because I was commenting on a different wine at the time (4 years ago). But yes: I'd certainly not have intended to tell anyone that their "Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy Merlot" was, um, not Merlot! :)

9/19/21, 4:19 PM - Oh I’m pretty sure the wine description had changed and maybe it was posted differently. Thanks for taking the time to write. I actually googled it first to see if the producer might make a Nebbiolo as a vina di Tavola but nada.
