November 16, 2016 - Blindverkostung mit Freunden. #7 Nicht unbedingt so richtig typische Nase für diese Ecke. Vorwiegend alte „Lederkirsche“, sous bois und Sojasauce. Deutlich dezenter und mehr im Hintergrund Aromen von Oliventapenade, Graphit, Süßholz, Aceto Balsamico und eine karamellige Note. Mittlerer Körper und auf Eleganz bedacht. Frische, fordernde Säure trifft auf feingliedriges, festes Tannin. Sauerkirschen, altes Leder und etwas Worcestersauce, dank der ätherischen Würze und Süße. 13 Vol.-%. Langer Abgang. Kleiner Jahrgang. Toller Wein. Deutlich zurückhaltender als bspw. der 85er, aber dennoch eine sehr schöne „Altweinstudie".
Blind tasting with friends. #7 Not an entirely typical bouquet for this wine, with mostly cherries enwrapped in old, weathered leather, sous bois and soy sauce on the nose. There are more subtle notes of olive tapenade, graphite and licorice, together with aromas of aceto balsamico and caramellike notes in the background. Medium-bodied and rather sophisticated style. Fresh and demanding acidity, paired with delicate, but firm tannins. Sour cherries, old leather and because of a more ethereal spiciness and sweetness notes of Worcester sauce. 13% abv and a long-lasting finish. Small vintage, but a terrific wine. Definitely more on the holding-back-side, than, say, the 85 but still a wonderful study of an older vintage.3 people found this helpful 4,547 views
