December 24, 2016 - Served along with pork tenderloins, enwrapped in a bacon-spice-blend-strudel. Double decanted. Wonderful bouquet of blackcurrants, blackberries, plums, a lot of cedar wood, pencil point, scrub and slight earthy tones. Good concentration on the palate, with an elegant and balanced character, a well-integrated alcohol of 13%, vivid acid and ripe, fine-grained tannins. Overall medium-bodied. Notes of blackcurrants, plums, noble wood and fine spices on the palate. Long aftertaste, mostly carried by spices and black fruits. Absolutely classy and superbly matured Lagrange. Drinking rather well now, but should hold this level for at least 6 more years.
Zum Schweinefilet im Speck-Strudel-Mantel. Doppelt karaffiert. Elegante Nase nach gereiften Aromen, wie Cassis, Brombeere, Pflaume und viel Zedernholz, Bleistiftspitze und erdigem Unterholz. Im Mund konzentriert, aber elegant und ausgewogen, mit gut eingebundenen 13 Vol.-%, mittelkräftigem Körper, belebender Säure und reifen, feinkörnigen Tanninen. Cassis, Pflaume, edles Holz und feine Gewürze. Langer Nachhall. Schön gereift und bereitet momentan ein hohes Trinkvergnügen, dürfte dies aber auch in dieser Form zumindest noch die kommenden 6 Jahre tun.1 person found this helpful 4,194 views
