July 11, 2017 - Drank at the end of a 5 hour dinner and after many old dusty reds. Yet still took everyone's breath away. The first whiff was like your eyes adjusting to a dark room filled with treasures, so much to think about and enjoy. Old crystallized honey, meaty broth, dried fruits, walnut.
Palate followed suit - if just slightly less wowing. Sweetness has resolved into a more savory story of its 30 year journey. Cheesecake, tart (the dish), walnuts, dried apricot. Good length. Probably peaking now, could wait a few more years.1,849 views
