  August 7, 2017 - Tasted blind. Dark garnet color turning rust at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose elegantly gives off smoked meat, black fruits, and incense. The palate shows a medium-to-full body with a silky texture. Flavors of black currants, dark chocolate, meat, espresso, and graphite notes. The sheer elegance at the way this wine executes all the way to a spicy, lifted finish is commendable. Drink now until 2028.
