  December 30, 2017 - From a Magnum (1 of 67) Still in great shape and probably at its peak. This vintage of Maestoso always deliver the wow factor I’m looking for in a wine…I keep smelling my glass to get more of the fabulous complex aromas (stewed strawberries, spices…). You get the same intensity/type of flavours on the palate, with a long finish. Always one of my favorite wines.

  12/31/17, 1:15 PM - Francois, by saying the magnum format was "probably at its peak", would you suggest we open our last 750ml of '08 Maestoso sooner than later? Always looking for a "peaking" excuse to pop the cork. Also, was there a lot of sediment in the magnum? We'll definitely decant to pour the wine off the sediment.

  1/3/18, 4:47 AM - There's no rush I think i mentioned 2019 or 2020 in a previous note), but based on my previous experience with the 750ml, the wine is perfect right now...and it would make sense to enjoy this wine at 10-12 years old. Can't wait to read your note...there's something I love about this wine in 2008...I don't know if I'm going to taste it again, since I drank all of my bottles :(
