April 19, 2018 - This, sadly, is my last bottle. What this wine turned into over the past 18 years is just epic! If you put this wine in a bottle labeled with one of its neighbors names, Ch. Margaux or Ch. Palmer, it would bring a high-90's score. The fruit is intense and sweet, the foundation is strong, the wine lasts one minute on my palate, the beautifully balanced tannins make it just kick butt (excuse the French) with a hunk of Filet Mignon. The fruit is astonishingly delicious and the balance is impeccable. Korniev, this bottle is as great as the ones I commented on previously. Some miracle occurred in this wine over the last 18 years. I had 6 of them, the last one was tonight, and they were all just great! I hope you have at least one left. I'll be in Bordeaux in 2 weeks!

10/22/18, 8:14 PM - I really think if this had proper storage it was amazing. I have had 4 bottles and all have been quite wonderful. Very different from a great Lascombes or Malescot St.E and I wouldn’t even think to compare it to the 1st growth or even a Palmer, but definitely as good as some better next door wines at Rauzan-Segla.

I can still source 2005, which may almost be as underrated. I may have to grab some more. Luckily I have a few of these left. I just love 2000 as a Bordeaux vintage. It really has the bones to last very long on most wines.
