  June 10, 2018 - Agreed with the previous review that this wine is definitely on the back end of the slope. It's still got a good amount of life left - primary fruit is still there and vibrant, particularly on the palate - but some secondary and tertiary notes are starting to threaten to overwhelm. There's a huge burst of smoke and acetone upon opening, but that does dissipate to a degree, leaving more of a heavily toasted oak character. Acidity is still bright and lively, and there's good intensity overall. But this is heading on its way out, and probably only has another year or two of drinkability left.
