June 23, 2018 - Arkenstone: A 2011 that didn’t instantly catapult me into adversity and grumpiness, this Arkenstone NVD actually showed a decent flavor profile that wasn’t washed over with bell pepper and wood flavors. Rather, this has some pleasant black currant, crunchy wild blackberry, earth, white pepper, and subtle spice notes. No green nonsense going on here. Not a show-stopper by any means, but try to find me a 2011 Napa Cab that is?!
