December 5, 2018 - Decanted. I know this is young, but I thought it was spectacular (had a 91, 01, and 04 this year). Showed a bit too much oak at the outset, but glorious after about 1.5 hrs. On the nose, light pure cherry, a touch of blood orange, tar, herbs... On the palate, delicate, excellent acidity, soft cherry liqueur, some herbs...and a soft tannic finish. This is certainly somewhat primary at present, but with air, it is stunning. Maybe not as concentrated as the 01, but imo on par with the 04. Yum!

12/6/18, 1:17 AM - I have had the 2009 several times and I think it is a much underrated vintage of Monprivato. I found it superior to the 2006 which i had recently for instance. Great QPR too.
