  January 15, 2019 - Decanted for 2+ hours. This wine showed very well. Sweet red fruit, vanilla, violets and hints of beef jerky on the nose. With dark cherries, a touch of vanilla and toasty oak dominating the palate, followed by hints of red currant, plum and leather in the mid-palate. The finish was back to cherry and hints of toasted oak, and lasted quite a while. This merlot is worth the money, IMO. My favorite of the night, along with a 2005 Pedestal.
