  April 13, 2019 - Take one of the most traditionally made Medoc wines from superb terroir generally regarded as being able to produce wines of the equal of many Classified Growths in one of the coolest, most northerly parts of the Haut Medoc in a warm year and what do you get? One of the wines of the vintage. The best Sociando Mallet for drinking at the moment. Cool palate, yet full bodied and plush textured with flavours of dark berries, pencil lead, cedar oak. No heat whatsoever. No jamminess at all. Tasted blind, you'd never pick this as a 2003. Magnificent. 5-10 years in the tank at least. Wow!
