April 27, 2019 - Good fill level, cork came out in good condition.
Kept upright for last 3 weeks.
Not decanted, as the wine came across a little tired. Showing mostly acidity and tannins at this point with just a hint of the tar and roses.
    Slightly disappointing.

5/4/19, 7:12 AM - Did you buy this from "Cellaraiders"? Was contemplating a purchase, but it sounds as if you found the wine tired. Thanks for reading.

5/4/19, 7:34 AM - This wine was purchased at an auction. The other bottle was corked, so I would not rule out that the storage conditions could be to blame.

5/4/19, 12:14 PM - Thanks so much for answering. I recently drank a 1978 Castello Di Neive Barbaresco Riserva Speciale (4 years in oak!) and it was exceptional. Sorry your 'stash" didn't deliver. 40 years is a long time, and a big risk, to be in someone ELSE'S possession! .....best wishes.
