  May 1, 2019 - Another pristine bottle; the fill was into the neck and the cork was sound. Deep garnet color, with notes of dried plums, roasted fennel, roasted game meats; hints of campfire and black truffle. Medium bodied, with great depth, savory mid-palate, ripe tannins, and beautiful precision on the long finish. I've enjoyed many bottles of the '94 Pontet Canet, but the quality of this bottle was startling. Best showing yet!
