  May 21, 2019 - out of the bottle the wine was quite thin and acidic with no fruit flavors but after a 45 min decant the wine really opened up with classic black currant, dried black cherries, and a touch of vanilla. Just a very classic delightfully made wine in a great maturation stage. No need to hold but definitely not over the hill. My friend who is not a wine drinker was shocked by how much the wine changed over time in the decanter.
