  May 25, 2019 - Tasted blind during an event. Much more youthful than one might expect. Spicy and dark brooding nose of black currant and asian plum sauce, earthiness, tobacco, pencil shavings and some meatiness. Rather austere on the palate and not as fruity as the bouquet might suggest. Somewhat dusty and not fully resolved, yet soft tannin with fresh acidity and an overall great structure. Black and red currant, plum, cedar wood, sous bois and leather come to mind. More masculine, but quite elegant with a long spicy finish. Great mature Bordeaux.
