  June 2, 2019 - Vinetasters: Special Clubs (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. Slightly spicy nose here, with a mildly prickly character that seems to give this a little bitterness. It's not as balanced, and there's an overall sharpness to this wine. There's a moderate mushroom thing going on here as well, so my guess is that this is a blend, as there isn't enough acidity and citrus here for a full-on blanc de blancs, nor is there enough richness for a full-on blanc de noirs. My 3rd, group's 2nd.

  6/3/19, 1:45 AM - hi Acyso, thanks for this note! Quite helpful. Perhaps it needs a bit more time in bottle to loose the bitterness? I have been holding off to open one and it seems I might wait a bit longer. By the way, you assessment on it being a blend is spot on according to my notes I have on this wine: 55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay.
