  June 22, 2019 - Much like the recent 1990, a textbook example of a quality Médoc. Brilliant nose and a really lovely, full, lush body. But the flavors are still somewhat reticent. Should be fine in time.

  6/28/19, 2:28 PM - In my experience, Leoville Barton goes through a dumb phase in years 10 to 20, where the fruit seems to be hiding, only to reemerge with further age. I hope that is the case here.

  6/30/19, 12:44 PM - The wine wasn’t dumb, just relatively young. I consider it naturally and appropriately on its maturity path.
