Lovely golden yellow colour with a nice and slow stream of fine bubbles. Maturing nose showing honey, caramel and butterscotch notes, with a layer of straw as well. Such a lovely palate, creamy and smooth acidity with yellow apples on the mid before the nice and lengthy finish with a slight touch of burnt sugar in a very nice way. Feeling a bit of herbal tarragon notes on the finish as well. Lovely saltiness on the lips is just the perfect expression of how wonderful a Krug gets! Not the best cuvée and with a bit weakness on the finish. Despite the lesser base vintage this has evolved in a very lovely way over the last decade.. (Best with 10-20 years of extra cellar time)3 people found this helpful 9,300 views
