July 26, 2019 - Wow. This wine really came around from 2017. The wine was open with sweet red and blue fruits. Lively through the finish. Huge nose. I was so surprised at how this wine came alive. Medium bodied and typical St. Julien softness throughout. I had a 2005 Lagrange, St. Julien, the other day that was chauky and boring. It seems that the 2009's are still sweeter and more expressive than the 2005's. Gloria is certainly not boring. I used the coravin so it will be interesting to see if my next glass is similar.
