September 7, 2019 - Nice Brunello - pretty classic at first but became a little modern over time. Nice tannins, robust flavor, but a little lean on the finish. Popped and poured; consumed half immediately and half 24 hours later.

9/12/19, 8:35 AM - tasting more complexity the next day; more focused, better acid balance, more nuanced oak. '01 cicala came to mind. how did you see it?

9/12/19, 1:03 PM - For me it really was a tale of two styles. The first evening it seemed much more classic in profile and then the second evening it seemed [surprisingly] much more modern - bigger and hotter, even. I haven't tasted the 2001 you reference so I can't comment on similarities . . . YET!
