September 7, 2019 - Nice Brunello - pretty classic at first but became a little modern over time. Nice tannins, robust flavor, but a little lean on the finish. Popped and poured; consumed half immediately and half 24 hours later.

9/12/19, 8:35 AM - tasting more complexity the next day; more focused, better acid balance, more nuanced oak. '01 cicala came to mind. how did you see it?

The first evening it seemed much more classic in profile and then the second evening it seemed [surprisingly] much more modern - bigger and hotter, even. I haven't tasted the 2001 you reference so I can't comment on similarities . . . YET!
