September 12, 2019 - Tasted blind. Dark bramble berry fruit but in a cooler and more refined way. Just a hint of spices. Mouth-coating tannins but well integrated and a dark fruit on palate. Good balance and medium length finish. Unfortunately came across slightly closed and hence lacked a bit in expression, but then the palate revealed incredible elegance and delicacy and not at all as wild as other Napa cabs from the 2013 vintage.

This was part of a 13 bottle line-up split into 4 flights. The Screaming Eagle flight also included a Once & Future Frank‘s Block Zinfandel 2016 (I know!) and a custom made 2015 Napa Cab blended by the host of the event. It was poured from a decanter, but not sure how much time the wine spent in there - I‘m guessing a couple of hours.

You‘re right, this might have just entered a phase of being closed now. Maybe best to watch out for fellow CT posts.
