October 24, 2019 - Consumed over two nights. Ive been drinking Valla Spannas since the 1970s. They are now made by Antonios children who continue with producing Nebbiolo that at time rivals Barolo and Barbaresco of much higher prices. This is one of the entry level wines and doesnt approach the quality of its vaunted cousins. However it still is quite good. Its light in body, has varietal flavors, but really doesnt have a lot of fruit. It does have a very long, well balanced finish and an excellent QPR. This possibly could get better with some more bottle age.
