January 1, 2020 - Incredible things have happened here in the last 12-18 months. Like something beautiful stretching its wings. Here is a wine so breathtaking in its own right that still complements a variety of foods, whether or not traditionally "red wine friendly."

Now nothing short of moving in balance, presence, and purity, this is densely woven and silky but ethereal and buoyant too. Its deep-fruited and expansively mineral persona seduces with clarity and romance, and with intoxicating spice. Undeniable and true, it's still so accomodating as to have paired beautifully a surprising range of dishes: hamachi/ponzu/jalapeno, roasted baby carrots with cashew sesame dukkah and aleppo yogurt, and seabass with fennel, lemon, and Calabrian chili. Each of these enhanced and was enhanced by the wine. Heavenly bottle of wine.

Now thinking this might get even better. Peak 2021-2022. But if you have mulitple, pop one with someone special this winter; it's a dream. Drink now-2023.
