January 19, 2020 - Fuligni Vertical (Ancaster, ON): Really beautiful wine done is the classic Fuligni style. It pours deep at the core, lightening toward the rim, just a touch of bricking. The Nose is lovely and open wafting dry hay, red cherries, brown sugar, spicebox, leather, roses, and black tea. The palate is refined and balanced with elevated red fruited acid and medium tannin. The finish is long replaying much of the nose. Lovely and food friendly, Fuligni's Normale is a really distinct style of Brunello, being so focused on the red fruit.
