February 10, 2020 - This still shows a good amount of oak. The fruit is still forward as well. It's not out of control in a overly modern way. But it's also not very traditional. At the price point it's pretty good. Many Napa wines drink very similar to this and cost a lot more. A night later this had changed a lot, drinking more traditionally or at least more maturely. For folks who like bigger wines this is probably where you need to drink up. It's probably ready to start maturing with the fruit laying down a bit. If you want some secondary action lay off for 5+ years. It's not going anywhere soon. Lots in the tank.
