3/30/20, 4:11 PM - The Côtes de Tablas is the 2nd line wine. For a long time Tablas Creek had only two lines for the red and white blends (*), the Côtes de Tablas and the Esprit (**). Those use estate fruit. Several years ago they introduced Patelin de Tablas which is the "3rd line" and is made from non-estate fruit.
* The varietal bottlings have no additional designation beyond the name of the varietal (with the past Bergeron and Antithesis being exceptions). There is also a blend, En Gobelet, that stands alone.
** The Esprit was Esprit de Beaucastel and was later renamed to Esprit de Tablas
