    March 6, 2020 - PNP

Purchased direct from vineyard in 2020.

Beautifully deep ruby red color. Long legs. Cherry on the nose with cranberry and light wood. Smells slightly of clay.

Great bright hit of acid and cherry at first, smoothing almost instantly to more woodsy and earthy tones. The finish is incredibly long, upwards of 60 seconds, revealing melon, guava, vanilla, and so much more. Medium tannins throughout, and an overall balanced mouthfeel.

There's a lot going on here, but to be fully appreciated I expect this wine will need a lot of time to mature. I cannot wait to taste again in 10+ years. This will be (and is already) one of the best Brunellos I've had. Buy a case and set it aside--I expect it will be well worth it!

    98/100

We just left the winery and I can't agree more with you, this is the best '15 Brunello that we tried. Elegant, complex and not super oaky as others. Just as a curiosity, how much you paid per bottle?

@GonzaloManzaneda - I paid £288/£48 per bottle for this case of 6 via the UK vintner Lay & Wheeler. I'm not sure I want to know how much less you and Aberry paid for it....
