    March 18, 2020 - Medium-pale garnet.

Nose: Dried bing cherry, candied strawberry, potpourii, oak paneling, dried tobacco notes.

Mouth: A smooth pool of dried black cherry and raspberry pates des fruit segues into a cedar/sandalwood midpalate before becoming a long finish of sweet pipe tobacco, sous bois, and light blood notes. A buried energy ripples through, keeping this graceful as a light fine grained mineral tinge takes the very end.

Overall: Gorgeous dried woods kept in balance by polished, lightly candied fruits, very polished. Showing beautifully now with 10 years of estate age for free, the price on this is unreal. 80% Tempranillo, 20% Grenache. Drink now - 2026

    95.

3/18/20, 7:46 AM - Great note which totally reflects our experience - after 30+ yrs enjoying all kinds of wine globally I am coming to the conclusion (or have already reached it) this producer is offering the VERY best Value/QPR, (or whatever P to Q ratio one subscribes to) on the face of the Planet right now. Having purchased/tasted this and the 09 Reserva on discount for ~$25 net on multiple occasions, I can think of few other wines which offer so much complexity, elegance, interest, and 'pizazz' for so little.
