  March 21, 2020 - This wine is really singing! Have had several bottles over last few years, this is the best so far. Similar to previous notes but now with such perfect integration of tertiary components. Decanted only 30 minutes but not really needed other than sediment. Deep garnet red, sight bricking color. Nose is of refined dark berries, black truffle, saddle leather, hint of pleasant smoke. Palate is more of the same with a surprising amount of freshness remaining. Clearly was an acidic and high tannic wine in its youth. Tannins still present but well integrated. Langoa Barton is a perennial rockstar but most appreciated with 10+ years of bottle age in most cases. Enjoy
