April 10, 2020 - I Coravined a glass at 3:30 to drink at 5:00 with Matt’s Instagramlive Tasting. Parenting happened and 5:00 became 7:30 so this got 4 hours of air.

Very aromatic. High-tone florals of the viognier along with blackberry, smoked meat and pepper. The body is the light side of medium. Flavors of blackberries, pepper, thyme and green olive. Nice acidic backbone on the long finish. I usually start to drink these at 5-6 years but now I’m reconsidering that because this was very good now.

4/11/20, 7:07 AM - Thanks for this! I also thought about doing that virtual tasting but the 2009 was sold out and I thought the 2016 that I already had might be too young to enjoy (I think they were tasting both?). But now am tempted to pop one and do a super long decant. ‘Parenting happened’ lol welcome to my world.
