The tannins are sharp and brittle. Certainly the fruit could develop more nuances, but I would be careful about holding this one. I’ve got three bottles left, and I intend to drink two of them with a nice fatty steak within 24 months. The last one I’ll hold for another five years to test my theory. All in all, this is a fine wine for a lack luster vintage. Worth the $50 I paid for it.
